What’s your cancellation policy?
- Classes require a 24 hour cancellation, no refunds for no shows or late arrivals (if you cannot make it, please call or cancel online)
What’s your Booking policy?
- We do not allow walk-ins, booking must be done in advance, through our Booking tab
- Your card is not charged when you book, it is just used to reserve your spot. You are charged the day of class
- Plan to arrive 10-15 before class. If you arrive late to a class in the marina, the gate will be locked (as per marina policy) and you will not get a refund
What about inclement weather?
- Safety is Water Dog's top priority - In the event of lightning or thunder, SUP classes will be cancelled and deck classes will be moved indoors to our Mesquite Street studio and participants will be notified by text
- If there are very heavy winds or temperatures below 60 degrees, SUP classes may be cancelled and deck classes may be moved indoors to our Mesquite Street studio
- If there is just light rain or mild weather conditions SUP classes will proceed
- You are never charged for a cancellation due to weather

How do I get to the Marina Studio? Directions:
- You will turn onto Coopers Ally L-Head from Shoreline Drive going towards the marina
- The Corpus Christi Yacht Club will be on your left. Drive straight back.
- The entrance to marina slips R, S, T & U are on the right across from the blue bait shop. Park anywhere available.
- The gate to the marina entrance is normally locked. Arrive 10-15 minutes before class and someone from Water Dog will open the gate.
What are the procedures for entering the marina gate and arriving early?
- The gate to the marina is kept locked. Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before class and someone from Water Dog will be there to open the gate. If you arrive late, the gate will be locked (as per marina policy) and you will not get a refund
What about damaged or lost equipment?
In the event of damaged or lost equipment including paddles, SUP's or PFD's (life vests), it is 100% the responsibility of the renter to repair or replace what has been lost or damaged
What does the cost of the class include?
For SUP classes, it includes the paddleboard, paddle and PFD (life vest). For Yoga on the Deck, you should bring your own mat (however, Water Dog has extra mats if you forget)
How to book a Prepaid Package/Membership and when do they expire?
- Mermaid Sqad membership (prepaid packages) can be purchased in the Customer Area at the bottom of the website or on the 'Prepaid' button on the Booking tab.
- Packages expire after 3 month from the date of purchase or from when the package begins
How to Purchase a gift certificate?
- Gift certificates can be purchased in the Customer Area at the Buttom of our website or on the 'gift certificate' button on the Booking tab
- You can customize a message and then print, save or email the certificate
What is SUP Yoga, SUP Fitness & Community Paddle?
SUP is short for Stand Up Paddle. SUP Yoga & SUP Fitness classes like modify regular land classes for on a SUP board, which is essentially your floating mat. Community Paddle is a group paddle. Beginners are welcome in all classes. For specific SUP class descriptions click here.
What should I wear?
- Bathing suit or yoga pants or shorts
- Tank top or long sleeve shirt
- Change of clothes (Just in case you fall in the water during SUP yoga!)
- Sunglasses (inexpensive)
- For cooler weather dress in layers (it is always a bit cooler on the water)
What should I bring (optional)?
- Water bottle
- Dry bag
