More Info about our first workshop:  Intro to Baptiste Yoga: Journey into Power Sequence

Baptiste Power Yoga was founded in the 1940s by Walt Baptiste and is now led by his son Baron Baptiste. Baptiste yoga is founded on three pillars: asana, meditation and inquiry. The asana, the physical practice, is a heated 90-minute vinyasa, 53-posture sequence called Journey Into Power that acts as a blueprint for every class. It’s designed to systematically open, stabilize and give a sense of freedom to the body from the ground up. It also emphasizes the importance of the breath to guide each asana. In Baptiste Yoga, each exhale should expel stale energy in your body and each inhale should invite new energy. In the workshop we will break down each series of the sequence and their associated postures.
