What is Doga?
Doga is a unique way to interact with your furry friends and practice yoga. Humans will perform simple yoga poses and stretching while adoptable dogs roam around the GCHS's dog park (or inside if the weather isn't cooperating). This is a great socializing experience for the dogs and it creates a bonding experiences with us humans. Yoga has been known for a long time to have physical, emotional and mental benefits, so why not include our four legged friends in this experience?

Why is Water Dog and the Gulf Coast Humane Society doing Doga?
The Gulf Coast Humane Society and Water Dog Floating Yoga want to give GCHS Volunteers and the public a fun way to interact and play with adoptable dogs. A beautiful dog park is located at the Humane Society for Fetch N'Stretch/Doga events. This event is family friendly for adults and kids!
*We are hoping to make this a monthly event for GCHS volunteers and the public*
Water Dog's Partnership with the Gulf Coast Humane Society:
Water Dog Floating Yoga believes in giving back to the community. Water Dog can't think of a better way to give back and help out than interacting with our furry friends while doing yoga! Water Dog and the Gulf Coast Humane Society both want all dogs to have the best lives possible and we believe getting our furry friends adopted and into loving, permanent homes is the best way to accomplish this mission.
"Our mission is to save lives one at a time, and to place homeless animals into loving homes. We strive to promote responsible pet parenting and the humane treatment of all animals" -Gulf Coast Humane Society
